Team Leaders
Mr. Royston has more than 35 years of forensic engineering experience, specializing in analyzing structural, architectural, and construction failures and performance problems. He has extensive experience with building codes, OSHA regulations, and ADA standards.
He believes in systematic site investigations and testing, presenting findings in detailed, understandable reports, and solid, fact‐based testimony at deposition and trial.
Mr. Royston has designed and conducted laboratory and field tests throughout the United States and Canada and has been qualified as an expert in numerous courts of law throughout the United States.
Mr. Hessek has extensive experience in forensic evaluation of structures and structural designs. His background is structural design for residential, commercial, and governmental projects, spanning new construction, renovation, rehabilitation, and remodeling.
He has managed the investigation and structural repair of numerous residential projects for both single- and multi-family homes, in addition to commercial and government projects. He is an expert in investigating property claims from vehicle impacts, tornadoes, floods, fires, snow, wind, and hail.
During his tenure managing a national office, he oversaw the handling of claims across the country, playing a key role in investigating and resolving several thousand structural claims.

Our forensic laboratory includes digital x-ray equipment, water pressure test table, high pressure water test system, FLIR infrared camera, digital scientific microscope, and Instron 60,000 pound universal testing machine for tensile, compression, flexure, shear, tear, cyclic and bend test, and much more.
